FAQ

What is required to book and what is included?

To book your session, all that's needed is a deposit to secure your date — simple and stress-free!

What’s included:

A pre-session consultation (by phone or email) to chat through ideas, locations, and any questions you have

Your photography session, whether at home or on location

A private online gallery to view and choose your images

A set number of fully edited, high-resolution digital images (with the option to purchase more if you'd like)

You'll also get plenty of guidance on what to wear, how to prepare, and what to expect — I’m here to make the whole experience relaxed, enjoyable, and beautifully you.

What type of sessions can take place at home?

Lots of beautiful, meaningful sessions can take place at home — it’s one of my favourite settings!

In-home sessions are perfect for:

Newborn shoots – calm, cosy, and completely baby-led

Family sessions – capturing your everyday moments in the space you love

Milestones – first birthdays, anniversaries, or “just because” memories

Maternity sessions – intimate and relaxed, with no need to travel

Your home adds a personal, authentic backdrop to your photos — and there’s something really special about documenting life exactly as it is, right where it happens.

How should we dress for our family session?

Great question — and one I get asked often!

The key is to keep it simple, comfortable, and coordinated (but not matching).

Choose outfits that reflect you and make you feel good.

Here are a few tips:

Stick to neutral or earthy tones – creams, soft greys, muted greens, rusts, and dusty blues photograph beautifully

Avoid bold logos, neon colours, or busy patterns – they can be distracting in photos

Think texture over trends – knits, linen, cotton, and layers add lovely depth

Coordinate as a group – pick 2–3 complementing colours and build everyone’s outfit around them

Comfort comes first – especially for little ones. If they’re happy, it shows!

Once you book, I’ll also send over a full style guide with visual inspiration and tips to help you feel confident and photo-ready.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Absolutely — that’s more than okay!

Most of the families and couples I work with say the same thing at first. My job is to help you feel relaxed, comfortable, and completely yourselves. I’ll gently guide you, but never pose you in a way that feels stiff or unnatural. We’ll focus on connection, movement, and genuine moments — not forced smiles. By the end, you might even forget the camera’s there (and walk away feeling more confident than when we started!).
